Parent Membership

Welcome to the EHS Choir Parent Organization’s 2021/2022 school year! We have an exciting year planned for our choir students! Please support our amazing students by joining the Choir Parents Organization. So much work goes into every award-winning year for our choirs and we need every family’s participation to continue our program’s success. Our fundraising benefits our students with everything from the purchase of performance attire to subsidizing the spring competition trip, to scholarship award and everything in between.
A paid membership allows the student to participate in all Competition Trip Fundraising throughout the year. The cost is $30* per student (or $40 per family with siblings in the choir) which includes a 2021/2022 Choir Shirt to be worn for fundraising events.

The form is due no later than Monday, October 4th, 2021. Please fill it out and either submit payment via venmo to ( @EHS-Choir-1) or send in a check/money order ( made out to EHSCPO) or cash payment with your student for them to leave in the choir room mailbox. Please make sure that all payments, whether submitted via venmo or dropped in the choir mailbox, have yours & your students name on them.
Your participation will make this another successful year for our choir students. We look forward to working with you this year!

Edison High School Celebrates its First Choir Retreat!

On Saturday September 18th, the EHS held its first Choir Retreat, a 9-5 event that welcomed members of all three choirs – Concert choir, A capella Choir, and Chamber Singers. Students not only got the opportunity to rehearse all together throughout the day, but also participated in team bonding activities, including races, volleyball, a scavenger hunt, and more! The morning started off with a rehearsal, followed by activities and pizza for lunch. Afterwards, the choir rehearsed once again, and participated in more games that carried on into the evening.

Diligent and determined, the singers rehearsed choir repertoire for a total of three hours throughout the event! Under the direction of Mr. Josh Lisner, and with the help of pianist Mr. Morrow, the students reviewed the songs they had learned in class, and learned new pieces. During the activities after each rehearsal, the choir was split into four teams, each one labeled either Red, Blue, Green or Purple. Working together in their teams, everyone’s spirits were high. Each team cheered their fellow members on, and the exciting atmosphere and vibrant energy of the event remained throughout the day.

The choir retreat was an incredible success; a memorable experience and a new tradition for the EHS Choir. It was also an opportunity for the choir members to bond with one another after the virtual school year. We are so excited for more amazing retreats in the near future!
